DELHI, N.Y. (November 6, 2017) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) today announced its Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team. Selected by the conference's coaches, the list featured junior outside hitter Kristen Maslanka (Pine Island, NY / Warwick Valley) on the first team and freshman rightside/middle hitter Taylor Tsatsis (Neponsit, NY / St. Edmund Prep) as an honorable mention.
Maslanka became SUNY Delhi's career kills leader this season with 578. She broke the previous record of 509 set by Kelsey Pratt (2009-10) in Delhi's 3-0 win over Bryn Mawr on Oct. 14. That performance, along with totaling 36 kills over a four-match span, landed the Pine Valley, NY native USCAA and NIAC Athlete of the Week honors. The junior finished as Delhi's season leader with 184 kills and ranked second with 261 digs. The Warwick Valley graduate was also named to the All-NIAC Team, and earned a spot on the ACAA All-Academic team with a 3.45 GPA as a Business and Technology Management major.
Tsatsis, in her rookie year with the Broncos, led the team with 62 service aces and 39 blocks, including 19 solo, while finishing second with 157 kills. She, too, was named to the All-NIAC Team, and earned ACAA Athlete of the Week honors after combining for 25 kills over three matches. This included a team-high nine kills in each of Delhi's NIAC Championship matches, and tallying a .538 kill percentage with seven kills at Cazenovia. Her .181 kill percentage also ranked first on Delhi this year. Tsatsis is an Event Management major.
