Women's Volleyball Releases 2017 Schedule; Broncos to Host 14 Matches, NIAC Championship

DELHI, N.Y. (August 21, 2017) – SUNY Delhi women’s volleyball head coach Beau Bracchy has revealed his 2017 schedule, which features 14 home matches. In addition, the Broncos will host the NIAC Championship on Saturday, October 28. SUNY Delhi looks to improve upon a 9-22 season from 2016.

2017 Schedule

Bracchy’s team opens the year with a home contest against The Sage Colleges on Sept. 6. The Broncos will then head to Elmira for a weekend tri-match, beginning with the Eagles on Sept. 8, followed by back-to-back contests against Cazenovia and Alfred State on Sept. 9. SUNY Delhi returns home to face local foe Hartwick on Sept. 12, and then hosts NIAC-opponent College of St. Joseph on Sept. 13. The Broncos’ next trip will then be at Dean College on Sept. 16, where they will play the Bulldogs before taking on NIAC-opponent Fisher later that day. After a road meeting with Clarks Summit on Sept. 19, the Broncos will remain home for the rest of September. They host Davis on Sept. 21, Utica on Sept. 25 and Morrisville State on Sept. 27. SUNY Delhi closes out the month hosting a tri-match on Sept. 30, taking on NIAC-foe Maine Fort Kent and Paul Smith’s.

SUNY Delhi opens the month of October on the road, taking on the College of St. Joseph on Oct. 4. They will trek to Green Mountain College on Oct. 7, where they will take on Maine Presque Isle, Johnson State and Green Mountain all in one day. The Broncos return home on Oct. 11 to face Southern Vermont, after which they are back out on the road. They will play at Mount Saint Mary’s on Oct. 12, followed by a dual-match at Utica College on Oct. 14, where they will take on Bryan Mawr, followed by the Pioneers. SUNY Delhi will then be home for a stretch, where they have dates lined up with Bard on Oct. 17 and Alfred State on Oct. 20. The Broncos are set to host a quad match on Oct. 21, where they will host Fisher, Pratt and the Culinary Institute of America all in the same day. The team will close out the regular season on the road at Cazenovia on Oct. 25.
