Taylor Tsatsis Named ACAA Athlete of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (October 31, 2017) – The American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) today announced freshman rightside/middle hitter Taylor Tsatsis (Neponsit, NY / St. Edmund Prep) as its Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 29. Tsatsis was recognized after combining for 25 kills over three matches, including nine each in Delhi's two contests at the NIAC Championship, which Delhi hosted, where she was also named to the All-NIAC Team.

Tsatsis began her week posting an astounding .538 kill percentage with seven kills in the Broncos' 3-1 win at Cazenovia on Wednesday. She finished second on the team behind Kristen Maslanka, who had 11 kills. The Neponsit, N.Y. native led the Broncos with six blocks, including three solo, while tallying two service aces.

In the Broncos' season finale hosting the NIAC Championships Saturday against Maine Fort Kent and Fisher, Tsatsis led the team with nine kills in both matches. Against the MFK Bengals, the St. Edmund Prep graduate finished with a .148 kill percentage and added two block assists. In the final match versus the Falcons, Tsatsis improved with a .261 kill percentage and had a team-high four service aces and two solo blocks. Her efforts landed her a selection to the six-player All-NIAC Team, alongside teammate Maslanka.
