Broncos Swept by Alfred State in Friday Evening Home Match

DELHI, N.Y. (October 20, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team welcomed SUNY sister school Alfred State to Floyd L. Maines Arena Friday night. Despite dropping a close 25-22 third set, the Broncos couldn't avoid 25-14 and 25-10 first and second set wins by the Pioneers en route to a straight-set defeat.

Kristen Maslanka, Regan Hubner and Taylor Tsatsis combined for 13 of Delhi's 15 kills, with Maslanka leading the way with five kills and Hubner and Tsatsis each tallying four. Maslanka also led the team with nine digs, while setter Emma King finished with a team-high 15 assists and three service aces. The Broncos were also treated to a 14-kill performance from Alfred State's Bryanna Godfrey, along with eight kills from Kiara Perkins as the Pioneers finished with 33 total kills.

SUNY Delhi is back in action early Saturday morning as they host the Broncos Quad Match, starting at 10:00 a.m. in Maines Arena. The Broncos begin the day against NIAC-foe Fisher, followed by Pratt at 12 noon and Culinary at 2:00 p.m.
