Delhi, NY - The SUNY Delhi swim season was underway Saturday afternoon, hosting Albertus Magnus for their home opener.
The meet consisted of 26 different events between the two schools that saw Delhi recording several strong team and individual performances. The men's 200-yard medley relay would start the day off strong for the Broncos, finishing first overall with a time of 2:00.41 seconds. The relay team of Sarthak Thapa, Isaiah Eckman, Seth Burlingame, and Gabe Johnson for Delhi would also go on to win the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:52.75. Strong individual performances on the men's side came from Gabe Johnson winning the men's 200 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke, Seth Burlingame leading the way in the men's 50 yard freestyle, and Isaiah Eckman collecting the victory in the 100 yard breaststroke.
On the women's side, notable performers came from Adrienne Brill finishing first overall in the women's 50-yard freestyle, Emalyn Kulp placing first overall in the women's 100-yard butterfly, Olivia McPeek finishing first place in the women's 100-yard freestyle, and Jessica Roon topped the leaderboard in the women's 100-yard backstroke.
Delhi shifts their attention to their next contest against Mt. St. Mary and F.I.T. on November 9th at 1 p.m.
