Broncos Move to 3-0 With Dominant Win In First Home Game

Delhi, NY - The Delhi lacrosse team hosted its first home game of the season at Neil Riddell Field today.  The Broncos are off to their best start to a season since moving to the four year level at 3-0 following a dominant win over Castleton today 16-6.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Delhi continued it's hot start to the season in the face-off circle winning an incredible 21 of 25 faceoffs.  Leading the way was Anthony Ferrato who earned 18 out of 21.

  • Jagger Beachak was on fire today scoring four goals and adding five assists to lead the Broncos offense.  Chris Lazzazaro and Ben Moscatiello combined to add another four goals and four assists between them.

  • Mike Triolo added eight saves in the goal for the Broncos

  • With the game still a tight one at 2-1 with 10:50 left in the second quarter, the Broncos cashed in four goals in the next 2:11 to blow it open.

  • Delhi entered the fourth quarter with a 10-5 lead and then scored five unanswered to put the game out of reach.

Next up for Delhi is another home game on Wednesday when they will host Keystone College on Neil Riddell Field at 6pm.
