Delhi, NY - In this week's Northern Atlantic Conference weekly awards, the committee has honored our Lacrosse program with another selection. First Year Bronco, Nick Allen, has been named Defender of the Week within the conference for his exceptonal performances this past weekend agaisnt the Trailblazers of MCLA & the SUNY Canton Roos.
Nick anchored the SUNY Delhi defense this week in two must win games against MCLA (17-2) and SUNY Canton (15-6) to solidify the no. 4 seed in the NAC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament. Allen scored one goal, collected 15 ground balls and had five caused turnovers in two games on the week as he looks ahead to post-season play. The Cold Spring native is looking forward to getting himself, as well as his team, dialed in as they look to make another push towards a NAC Championship.
Allen and the Broncos have clinched a spot within the Northern Atlantic Conference playoffs which will be held this weekend on the campus of Maine Maritime. The Green and Gold will head up on Saturday for a 2 o'clock game against the Mariners for a chance to compete in the Championship game against the winner of Poly/Morrisville.
