Men's Golf takes second at Elmira Invitational; freshman Noah Tyler finishes as individual runner-up

Elmira, NY - Delhi Men's Golf traveled to the Elmira Fall Invitational on Tuesday morning, placing second overall with their A team and sixth with their B team out of 10 programs.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Freshman Noah Tyler (Fort Edward, NY)had his best day in the green and gold, leading the team with a runner-up finish individually. He shot an impressive 78 (+6) to guide the Broncos' A team to a second-place finish. He carded 11 pars and one birdie to finish second out of 51 golfers.

  • Senior John Williamson (Scotch Plains, NJ) finished second individually for the Delhi teams, carding an 81 (+9) for the day with eight pars and one birdie. 

  • Freshman John Souva (Nanuet, NY) has continued to play at a high level in his first season, finishing in a five-way tie for ninth place with a card of 82 (+10) with seven pars and two birdies.   

  • Souva would tie with teammate Jordan Starley (Windsor, NY ), who would be the top-place finisher for the Delhi "B" team. He ended his day with nine pars and two birdies.

Delhi won't take any break, heading out to the SUNY Canton Invitational on Wednesday, September 20th at the Partridge Run Golf & Country Club.
