Morrisville, NY – The Delhi men's basketball team started their post season defense of the North Atlantic Conference title they won last year in grand fashion. After earning the fourth seed in the NAC West tournament, the Broncos had to face the top seeded Morrisville Mustangs on their home floor. Delhi was able to topple the hosts and advance to the divison final to be played tomorrow at Morrisville.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The first half stayed close with both teams struggling to shoot from the floor, with Morrisville taking a two point lead into the break.

The Broncos, who shot 37.5% from the floor in the first half heated up, shooting 44.4% from the field in the second half.

The Delhi defense turned up the pressure holding Morrisville to just 30.3% shooting in the second half.

While the Mustangs out did the Broncos in rebounds, Delhi was able to make up for it creating 24 turnovers.

Leading the way for Delhi was the trio of Lester McCarthy, Isiah Barnes and Marven Louissaint who combined for 55 points, 16 rebounds, 14 steals, eight assists and three blocked shots

The Green and Gold will play for the NAC West Division Title and the right to host the NAC Championship game tomorrow against SUNY Cobleskill. The game will be played at SUNY Morrisville at 2:00pm
