Bronco of the Week #6 Noah Tyler & Jaquan Williams (10/9)

After some incredible performances from Delhi athletics in the first week of October, two freshmen stood out. Men's golf's Noah Tyler and men's soccer's Jaquan Williams came up with some big-time performances over the weekend, with Tyler tying for first place in his first-ever conference championship tournament and Williams leading the soccer program to a record-breaking weekend.

Noah Tyler

Fort Edward, NY | Hudson Falls HS | Men's Golf

Freshman Noah Tyler concluded an incredible weekend by tying for the top medalist spot at the North Atlantic Conference Championships, carding a 149 (+5) over the two-day tournament. He led the men's golf program to a second-place finish as a team with a score of 609 (299, 310) on a par 72, 6,569-yard course.

After starting with a 70 (-2) on day one, he finished with a 79 (+7) in his first-ever conference championship. This outstanding performance earned him the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year award and a spot on the First Team All-Conference.

Tyler and the Delhi Men's Golf team will be back in action at the George Cangero Invitational next weekend for a two-day tournament on October 14 and 15th.

Jaquan Williams

Hempstead, NY | The Academy | Men's Soccer

Freshman Jaquan Williams led the men's soccer team to an incredible weekend where they set the program goal-scoring record in the NCAA era and defeated two conference opponents, outscoring them 15-0.

He would erupt in the Bronco's record-breaking 14-0 win over VTSU-Lyndon on Saturday, scoring his first career goal and then adding on three more with an assist. Before scoring the match-winner in a big cross-divison conference game on Sunday, handing UMaine their first NAC loss of the season.

Williams and the Broncos will host non-conference Pratt on Friday, October 13th.
