WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Delhi got off to a quick start in the rain, scoring in the second minute of play as junior Michael Williams Jr. finished a rebounded shot from sophomore Matt Serrao.

  • They added five more goals before halftime, with freshman Roberto Velasquez-Osorio scoring two in a row. He combined with freshman Jaquan Williams for the first goal and was set up by sophomore Eric Manta for the second.

  • Freshman Aidan Gaughan had a breakout game, scoring his first career goal with a header off a corner from Manta, and then adding another with a well-placed shot from within the box in the first half.

  • Senior Gabriel Monterrosa also added an unassisted goal in the first half, slotting away a shot from just inside the box.

  • The Broncos weren't finished there, as they came out in the second half and scored five more goals.

  • Williams Jr. collected his first hat-trick of the year, scoring his second and third goals with assists from Velasquez-Osorio and freshman Jared Daragjati.

  • Velasquez-Osorio then notched his second consecutive and fourth hat-trick of the season with another goal. He leads the NAC with 18 goals, which is seven ahead of the second-place player. Once again, the goal was assisted by Manta, who picked up a hat-trick of assists in an excellent match.

  • Then it was Gaughan who collected his first career hat-trick with an 84th-minute goal, once again with a header from a cross by Monterrosa.

  • Senior Jon Walch made one save to record the Bronco's fourth clean sheet in a row.

  • Delhi leads the NAC in goals per game, averaging 3.5 goals scored per game through 14 matches this season.

COMMENTS FROM COACH REUTEMANN:

"A very well rounded performance this weekend as a whole. Three individual hat tricks in a game is very unique/special and should be recognized as Roberto, Michael and Aidan all recorded their own. We continue to take our positive moments as well as those ones we wish to improve with each us day. It has been clear for quite some time how important Wednesday's conference finale is and we will work tirelessly to prepare for that matchup."
