DELHI, N.Y. (October 10, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi men's golf team boasted three All-NAC finishers to secure a second-place finish as hosts of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships Sunday at the par-71, 6442-yard College Golf Course. Delhi garnered a second-day score of 303, a six-stroke improvement from Saturday's 309, to finish one spot behind champion Husson, who won it all with a 589 (295, 294). Sophomore Thomas Christoffersen took bronze status for First Team All-NAC, while Thomas Long's seventh-place finish and Andrew Saar's Rookie-of-the-Year worthy tenth place showing earned both Second Team.

After placing tied for first Saturday with a 72, Christoffersen was the Broncos' highest finisher in third after shooting a 74 three-over-par for a 146 total, one stroke behind Husson's co-medalists Max Woodman and Will Kavanaugh. Long took seventh with his 73 six-stroke second-day improvement earning him a 152 total. Saar carded an 80 to pair his 78 first-day score for a 158 total, becoming the highest-placing rookie in the tournament. Senior John Williamson finished eight strokes better from his Saturday score with a 76 for a 160 total for 13th, while Sean Gordon had an 86 day-two score for an 18th-place tally of 166.

"Our team goal is always to win, but it was terrific to see our players really compete this weekend," related head coach Dave Arehart. "There were some bright spots we are going to build on. We were bested by a very solid Husson team. Congratulations to Tom Christoffersen for a solid finish and Andrew Saar and Tom Long for earning all conference honors."

The Broncos have one more test before wrapping up the fall at next week's Le Moyne Invitational from Oct. 15-16.
