Men's Golfers Hold Two Spot Following Day One Hosting NAC Championships

DELHI, N.Y. (October 9, 2021) - The host SUNY Delhi men's golf team carded a second-place 309 team score (+25) to wrap the first day of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships Saturday at The College Golf Course. Sophomore Thomas Christoffersen leads the Broncos tied for first individually with a 72 one-over-par score on the par-71, 6442-yard course. Husson stands atop the leaderboard with a 14-stroke lead with a 295 (+11), along with the Eagles' Will Kavanaugh tied with Christoffersen for the individual lead.

Freshman Andrew Saar is 11th overall wtih a 78 (+7), while sophomore Thomas Long ranks right behind him in 12th with a 79 (+8) and Sean Gordon 13th with an 80 (+9). Senior John Williamson stands in 16th with an 84 (+13). Husson's five all scored between a 72 and 76 to rest in the top eight going into Sunday. SUNY Canton stands in third with a 325 (+41) and Thomas fourth with a 333 (+49). SUNY Delhi, Husson, Maine Farmington, Thomas, and SUNY Canton make up the individuals in the top ten. 

Day two of the NAC Championships begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The second round's pairings follow a reverse order from Saturday's team leaderboard, which has SUNY Delhi teeing off starting at 11:00 a.m.
