Delhi Cross Country places 5th at Frank Dillon Memorial in season opener

Le Moyne, NY – Delhi cross country kicked off their 2023 season at the Le Moyne Frank Dillon Memorial with the men and women both placing fifth overall as a team. The women would finish with 118 points out of a field of six teams while the men scored 127 points out of a field of seven programs.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • Freshman Evie Eastman (Wilson, PA) led the way for the Broncos in her college debut, placing 12th overall as an individual with an impressive time of 17:02.1 in the 4K. 

  • Freshman Mary Bryant (Averill Park, NY) also made her Delhi debut, placing 20th overall, one spot behind senior Marissa Lombardi (Goshen, NY) to fill up the top three spots for the Broncos.  

  • Sophomore Nathan Goodwin (Elka Park, NY) crossed the finish line first for men, finishing 10th overall at 21:14.8 in the 6K. He would be followed by sophomore Derek Leiter (Salisbury, Mills, NY) in 15th overall.  

UP NEXT FOR THE BRONCOS 

The Broncos will travel to the Oneonta Airfield Invitational for their next event, racing on September 8th at 5:40 PM.
