Broncos Post Close Matches in 9-0 Fall to Hartwick

DELHI, N.Y. (September 7, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's tennis team was back in action on Thursday with a match against Hartwick, in which the Broncos fell to the Hawks, 9-0. The match was originally a road contest at Hartwick, but it was moved to Delhi's indoor facilities due to inclement weather. Hartwick remained the official home team.

The three team of Mackenzie Landman and Sarah Krzyston fell to Sofie Brennan and Zoe Rockwell by an 8-1 score. The Broncos' one tandem of Safiyyah Muhammad and Victoria Jones were blanked by Heidi Rice and Kelly Napolitano, while Antonia Delavera and Rani Samudrala were defeated by Jaclyn LaSita and Kylie Sullivan at number two, 8-2.

Landman played a tight match against Rockwell in the fifth spot in the singles competition, only to fall by 6-3 and 7-5 scores. Delavera reached a tie-breaker set at number three versus LaSita, in which Hartwick claimed the 10-6 deciding set.
