WATERVILLE, Me. (April 21, 2021) - SUNY Delhi completed a sweep of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Women's Track & Field awards following a multitude of stellar performances at Saturday's Bronco Classic. Senior Jaylynn Sheppard (Queens, NY / HS for CTEA) was name the Track Athlete of the Week. Sophomore Katelyn Ingraham (Oxford, NY / Oxford Academy) earned the Field Athlete of the Week. Freshman Kadie-Ann Whyte (Schenectady, NY / Schenectady) was accorded the Rookie of the Week.

Sheppard made a triumphant return to competition on Saturday. The Queens native, who also plays on the Broncos softball team, took her first collegiate victory in the 100 meters with a lifetime best of 13.05 seconds. She then ran the third leg on the Broncos' winning 4x100 meter relay team, finishing with a time of 54.84 to start her senior campaign undefeated.

Ingraham only got to compete once in December of 2019 before ending her indoor season and having COVID cancel her outdoor season. In only her second collegiate competition, she picked up right where she left off in the long jump placing third with a mark of 4.07 meters, just off her collegiate best of 4.11. She also earned her first collegiate mark in the triple jump and her first collegiate victory, winning the event with a mark of 9.39 meters.

Whyte, a freshman, may have had the longest layoff of all after missing her 2019-20 high school indoor season with injury before COVID cancelled her outdoor season. In her first meet since the spring of 2019, Whyte ran to a third place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 13.85. She then returned to the track to anchor the Delhi women's 4x100 to a first place finish and complete a long road to comeback.
