DELHI, N.Y. (March 25, 2021) – The SUNY Delhi men's tennis team ranked third in the North Atlantic Conference Preseason Poll with eight points, as announced by the conference today. Defending champion Thomas took first with 16 points, earning all four first-place votes. Northern Vermont Lyndon ranked second with nine points, while MCLA was slotted fourth with seven points. The Broncos open their season against Lyndon on Saturday.

SUNY Delhi's last men's tennis match was in the 2019 NAC Finals versus Thomas on April 27, 2019, where the program posted a 5-8 record and avenged a regular-season defeat to MCLA with a 5-4 win over the Trailblazers in the NAC Semifinals. The Broncos missed out on the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Junior Christopher Balogh (Westtown, NY / Minisink Valley) is back for his third season, and currently the team's most tenured student-athlete. He posted a 4-7 record in 2019 as the Broncos number-two singles player and 6-5 in doubles, including 2-1 at the one spot and 4-4 at two.

Sophomore Dominick DeBonis (Endicott, NY / Union-Endicott) will compete in his first career match this season after his 2020 freshman campaign was called off. New to the program this year is Jarod Rackliffe (Niskayuna, NY / Niskayuna), who arrives to Delhi after a successful tennis career at Niskayuna High School where he was ranked. Sophomore Hailey Gundersen (Middletown, NY / Pine Bush) will also compete this spring with the men, marking her first season of competition since the Fall 2019 women's tennis season.
