WATERVILLE, Me. (September 13, 2021) - Freshman Kristina Messler (Rock Tavern, NY) swept the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Runner and Rookie of the Week after a team-leading run at the Vassar Ron Stonitsch 5K Invitational. This is the second straight week she has received NAC Rookie of the Week, giving her three total weekly conference honors through her first two weeks of collegiate running.

Messler ran 21:44.9 for 34th place to lead the Broncos to an eighth-place finish in a field that consisted of host Vassar, women's champion RPI, Coast Guard, SUNY New Paltz, and Bard. It was her first 6K of her career.

Messler and the Broncos have a local run this Saturday, heading to SUNY Oneonta's Airfield Invitational.
