DELHI, N.Y. (September 4, 2021) – The SUNY Delhi women's soccer team's first victory of the season arrived on their home field Saturday in the form of a 7-0 victory over SUNY Old Westbury. Kelsey Innes kicked off the scoring by netting a hat trick in the first 12 minutes. Alexa DuBois garnered two scores to go with one assist, while Micayla Slattery and Alivia Cordero made up the remaining scores. Cordero also registered one assist. Delhi is 1-1 on the year.

Innes' scoring spree and DuBois' first goal, a header off a corner kick from Olivia Curry, made up the first-half scoring. The Delhi defense held a short-handed Panthers squad to zero shots on goal. Senior goalie Rachael Scoones presided in the net for the first half, while freshman Andraya Hunt took over in the second. The Broncos added three more in the second, courtesy of Slattery, DuBois, and Cordero, respectively. Scoones picked up the win to improve to 1-1 on the year.

The high-scoring day marked the first career win for Zach Ward. He and his Broncos look to keep the winning momentum going this Tuesday when they welcome Elmira for a 4:00 p.m. matinee.
