The Broncos Traveled to the Rochester Yellowjacket XC Invitational for the Pre Regionals-Invitational

Delhi - The Men and Women's Cross-Country teams traveled to Rochester for the Pre Regionals-Invitational early morning Saturday. They took on 25 programs with the Men's team placing 18th in the 8k and the Women's coming it at 21st in the 6k

"Hot day today on the course. But we saw some good results, said head coach Zach Brown, "Alexa was top finisher again for the women, excellent 6k race for her. We had some great competition this meet so it was good to see where we are at in 6k and 8k races."

The Women's team was led by Freshman Alexa Wolcott who had a spectacular race, placing 18th overall with a time of 23:45.7. That ranks her as the second fastest 6k runner in SUNY Delhi history, only behind Khiere Ashley's time of 23:23:7 in 2015.

John Amenta came in first for the Broncos Men's team with a time of 26:46.8. He would make up six places from the 2k marker and finish the race strong. He was followed by Seth Bywater who placed 38th with a time of 27:03.8. Bywater started a bit slower, being in 51st after the initial 2k, but would make up places at every marker and finish 13 spots lower.

Cross Country will now focus on the Oneonta Airfield Invitational at Fortin Park on September 24th.
