Cumisky, Costello Headline Delhi's Six-Man All-NAC Class

WATERVILLE, Me. (May 13, 2021) – Six members of the SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse team were named to the All-North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Team, including two to the first team. Aidan Costello (Northport, NY / Harborfields) and Ryan Cumisky (East Quogue, NY / Westhampton Beach) received distinction on the first team. Brandon McGrath (Campbell Hall, NY / Goshen Central), Logan Bauer (Long Beach, NY / Long Beach), Nick Dower (Oneonta, NY / Oneonta), and Phil Riportella (Deer Park, NY / St. Anthony's) were selected to the second team. Additionally, Parker Adkins (Oneonta, NY / Oneonta) was accorded to the NAC Sportsmanship Team.

Cumisky, a senior defender and team captain, received his second career All-NAC honor after taking second-team accolades in 2019. He, along with junior defender Riportella, led a defensive group that ranked first in the NAC with 57 goals allowed, converted on 126-of-163 clears, and caused 76 turnovers, of which Cumisky and Riportella both caused nine of them.

Costello, a sophomore attackman, finished as the team's leading scorer, ranking second in the NAC with 30 goals and fourth with 36 points. His season bests included eight goals versus SUNY Cobleskill on Mar. 20 and ten points versus SUNY Canton on April 24 off seven goals and three assists. He was named NAC Player of the Week.

Dower, the team's junior midfielder, faceoff specialist, and first-year captain, earned his second All-NAC honor after being chosen to the first team as a freshman in 2019. He won 66-of-107 faceoffs to rank fifth in the conference, while adding five points on four goals and one assist.

McGrath, a junior attackman, ranked second on the team with 25 points and fourth in the NAC with 14 assists. He posted a year-best seven points in both the Broncos' victories over SUNY Cobleskill, the first with three goals and four assists, followed by five goals and two assists.

Bauer, a junior midfielder, was the Broncos' fourth-leading scorer with 11 points on six goals and five assists. His highlights included four points on two goals and two assists in the opening meeting with SUNY Cobleskill and netting two goals in Delhi's close first matchup with SUNY Poly, both coming on man-up chances.

Adkins, a junior midfielder, was chosen to represent SUNY Delhi on the NAC Sportsmanship Team, which is reserved for those who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior. The honorees have positively affected the sport culture and game environment by clearly demonstrating sportsmanship and integrity beyond playing rules and etiquette.
