WATERVILLE, Me. (April 27, 2021) – SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse goalie Dante Restaino (Stony Point, NY / North Rockland) received the North Atlantic Conference's (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week for his ten-save performance Saturday against SUNY Canton for a 19-8 Broncos victory.

Restaino stood firm in the first quarter, holding the Roos to just one goal as the Broncos opened the game with a 3-1 lead. Delhi then outscored Canton 7-3 in the second quarter to break the game open with a 10-4 halftime advantage. The Stony Point native's performance in goal kept the Roos from getting no closer than seven goals of the Broncos' lead throughout the second half. Additionally, Restaino played the first half in goal in Monday's 22-3 NAC win over SUNY Cobleskill, recording three saves in an opening-half shutout performance.

Restaino and the Broncos play host to NAC West-leading SUNY Poly Wednesday in a fight for NAC playoff implications. A win will clinch Delhi a spot in the NAC West playoffs this Saturday, which would be a rematch with the Wildcats at SUNY Poly.
