DELHI, N.Y. (December 22, 2020) – While this fall semester was anything but ordinary, our student-athletes have shown outstanding character, resilience, and leadership during their practice seasons. SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to celebrate our Broncos of the Week each Tuesday by recognizing our talented and committed students, who despite the absence of competition demonstrated superb qualities on behalf of their team, the college, and their program of study.

Marissa Lombardi (Goshen, NY / Goshen Central), Cross Country/Track & Field

From Head Coach Robb Munro:

"Marissa kept such a great and upbeat attitude in spite of losing the season this fall.  She continued to train consistently and run herself into the best shape of her life.  I so look forward to getting the opportunity to turn her loose in races and see her get rewarded for her efforts during these difficult times!"

Ryan Cumisky (East Quogue, NY / Westhampton Beach), Men's Lacrosse

From Head Coach Sam Miller:

"Ryan has the most game experience of anyone on our roster. He has played every game for us down at close D since he got on campus. There is a lot of pressure on him being the lone returner and he answered the call this semester. His attitude and energy were outstanding all fall. He did an awesome job setting the example for how we like our guys to play and communicate on defense. He is currently a student in our construction management bachelor program. Despite being in one of the toughest semesters of his degree, and the challenges caused by the pandemic both on and off the field, he consistently showed up to practice and worked his tail off. We have a great group of young players and he did a great job setting the tone and pace at the defensive end of the field this fall."
