DELHI, N.Y. (April 26, 2021) – Two days removed from their 19-8 NAC West home victory over SUNY Canton, the SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse team returned to their home field Monday with a similar fate for SUNY Cobleskill in a 22-3 decision. Aidan Costello again led the way with nine points on six goals and three assists, as Brandon McGrath's four goals and two assists and Jack McClurg's three goals and three assists launched the Broncos to a 3-2 NAC West mark. Delhi will host division-leading SUNY Poly (5-0 NAC West) on Wednesday in the NAC West regular season finale, with playoff implications at stake.

Delhi shut out Cobleskill in the first half with a 12-0 score at intermission, led by three first-half goals from both Costello and McGrath. The Broncos scored five more goals to start the third period before the Fighting Tigers got on the board with 7:34 to go in the third. Cobleskill earned its final two scores in the fourth period.

Dante Restaino picked up the win in goal, charting three saves in the first half before turning things over to James Sullivan for the second half. Sullivan collected a pair of saves. SUNY Delhi pounced on 3-of-7 extra man chances to Cobleskill's 0-of-6. The Broncos outshot the Fighting Tigers, 56-18, and converted 24-of-27 clears to Coby's 21-of-33. Delhi also won 20-of-27 faceoffs, with Nick Dower winning 14-of-15 with one goal. Nick Scarpa won the remaining six.

Additional Monday scores came from Brett Fischer (two goals, one assist), Parker Adkins (two goals), and one goal apiece from Greg Junge, Joseph Carr, Raffaele Delellis, and Logan Bauer. Sean Dalton, Brian Conti, and Nicholas Iannucci had one assist on the day.

A win over SUNY Poly on Wednesday will clinch SUNY Delhi a spot in the NAC West playoffs this Saturday, which would be a rematch of the Broncos and the Wildcats at SUNY Poly. The winner will advance to play the NAC East winner for the overall conference championship on Saturday, May 8.
