SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (April 30, 2021) – The SUNY Delhi men's golf team captured their second straight North Atlantic Conference (NAC) championship Friday, as last week's NAC West winners tallied a 318, 30-over-par score to favor over East Division winner Husson, who scored a 335, 47-over-par mark. Jarrett McWilliams and Jason Cyr earned Co-Medalist status with leading 78 scores, as McWilliams finished at the top for the second straight week after earning West Co-Medalist with teammate Zach Barrett. The victory also marked the Broncos' third consecutive year capturing either the NAC individual or team title.

"Everyone played well despite the tough scoring conditions," said head coach Dave Arehart following a windy day at the par-72, 6527-yard The Orchards Golf Course. "I'm so happy for our five seniors today who fought through the elements to keep us at the top of the NAC for another year. Most of them have been with us since we first joined the NAC in 2018, and I'm glad they got to close this chapter of their careers on a high note."

Delhi's seniors all placed in the top five, as Brandon Palmer placed third with a 79, while Barrett and Daniel Christy tied for fifth, holding 83 scores. On the Husson end, Jack King led the Eagles in fourth place with an 82. Cade Charron made it a three-way tie for fifth alongside Christy and Barrett with 83's, while Max Woodman and Bailey Nangle tied for eighth with 85 scores. Will Kavanaugh finished tenth with an 87.

The Broncos registered eight birdies on the day, with Cyr sinking three of them. As a team, Delhi made par on 44 holes. The green and gold won the 2019 NAC Championship with a 600 two-day score, which also featured Christy, Barrett, and Palmer. Christy, as a sophomore, won the individual championship at the Broncos' first-ever NAC Championships appearance in 2018, carrying a 73 score. Friday's triumph marked SUNY Delhi's first conference championship since returning to competition this spring in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The men have two more challenges lined up for this spring, starting with Monday's Utica College Invitational, then the following week's two-day USCAA National Championships.
