WATERVILLE, Me. (April 22, 2021) – The defending NAC champion SUNY Delhi men's golf team head into Saturday's NAC West Championships ranked first in the Divisional Pre-Championship Poll, earning nine points and three first-place votes. The Broncos are set to host the divisional title chase at The College Golf Course, set for a 1:00 p.m. tee time.

The Broncos return a good part of its 2019 NAC championship team, including seniors Daniel Christy, Zach Barrett, and Brandon Palmer. Through three rounds between two tournaments this spring, Palmer leads Delhi with a 73.67 average, with Christy holding a 76.67 average and Barret a 78.33. Also competing for the Broncos is senior Jarrett McWilliams, who ranks second on the team with a 76.33 average, and senior Jason Cyr.

Over in the East Pre-Championship Poll, Husson led with eight points and two first-place votes. Thomas took second with seven points and one first-place vote, while Maine Farmington was third with three points. This weekend's division winners will face off for the overall league championship on Friday, April 30 at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. at 11:00 a.m.

SUNY Delhi competed at the two-round Le Moyne Mike Bello Invitational, finishing fourth in a field of NCAA Division II competition with a 601 (301, 300), and their own Bronco Spring Invitational, placing third versus NCAA Division II opponents Le Moyne and St. Rose with a 303.

Christy looks to keep his strong history at the NAC Championships going, having won the 2018 NAC Individual title and placing second at the 2019 championships. The Broncos won it all in 2019 with a 600 score (295, 305), winning by 12 strokes.
