ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. (November 27, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team collected their first 100-point game of the season Tuesday night, as five Broncos scored in double figures in a 102-83 win at Bard. Justin Daoud went 10-for-15 from the floor and 3-of-4 from long range as he led the game with a 31-point, 13-rebound performance, marking a new career high in scoring. Head coach Zack Thomsen's team now stands at 3-2 on the season.

While both sides had four of their starters finish in double digits in points, the Broncos finished Tuesday with a 22-2 advantage in bench points, featuring William Knight knocking down four threes on his way to 18 points. Jordan Fragale finished with 16 points with five rebounds and five assists, while Payton Dean had 14 points and nine boards and Mavenson Therneus 14 points with five rebounds. Saquan Goland blocked four shots, totaled four offensive rebounds, along with four points.

It would be Bard, however, that got the hot start, as Delhi trailed 14-2 through the first five minutes. They picked up steam throughout the rest of the half, tying the game at 25-25 thanks to a Daoud jumper with 5:38 to go before halftime and grabbing their first lead of the game on a Therneus layup at 31-30 with 3:18 left in the half. The Raptors briefly regained the lead at 34-33 before Fragale put the Broncos back in front for good on a jump shot with 2:01 remaining, which ignited a 9-0 Delhi run to close out the half.

The men's momentum carried over to the second half, as Delhi shot 58.3 percent (21-for-36) for 60 second-half points. Daoud made 7-of-9, including all three of his triples for 23 points in the closing session, while Therneus and Knight each had ten points. Though Bard opened the half cutting the Broncos' lead to as little as eight points at 47-39 with 17:58 to go, Delhi quickly rebounded and built their lead to as high as 22 points at 86-64 with 6:33 remaining.

The Broncos finished the evening shooting 48.7 percent (37-for-76) and 8-for-20 from behind the arc, as the Raptors shot 42.1 percent (32-for-76) and 4-for-15, respectively. Delhi's defense forced Bard into 17 turnovers, cashing them in for a 29-13 lead in points off turnovers.

Coach Thomsen's squad will now prepare to take on local foe Hartwick as they travel up the hill on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
