THE BASICS

Results: SUNY Delhi Broncos 1 | Eastern Nazarene Lions 1

Records: SUNY Delhi (5-1-1, 2-0-1) | Eastern Nazarene (1-3-1, 1-1-1)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Broncos struck first in the 10th minute, courtesy of sophomore Shaniyah Myers (North Babylon, NY), yesterday's match hero. She collected a ball from sophomore Kailey Leach (Latham, NY) and took an incredible shot from outside the box, kicking it over the goalkeeper into the side of the net.

  • That marked Myers' sixth goal of the season, as she has scored in the last five matches for Delhi. Meanwhile, it was Leach's third assist of the season, as she's had a great sophomore year with five points (one goal, three assists) in five matches started.

  • Eastern Nazarene evened up the score with a long shot in the 23rd minute, breaking Delhi's 232-minute streak without conceding a goal.

  • After going into the break tied, neither team was able to grab their second goal in the second. The Broncos would outshoot the Lions 7-2 in the final 45 minutes.

  • With just one loss through their first seven matches this season, it marks the best start for the green and gold since joining the NCAA.
