THE BASICS

Score: SUNY Delhi 4 | Maritime (N.Y.) 1

Records: SUNY Delhi (3-1) | Maritime (N.Y.) (2-1)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Delhi sported a youthful starting squad today, with six freshmen making the start.

  • Their four first-half goals were more than enough to propel the green and gold to their third win of the year.

  • After a couple of good chances, the Broncos got on the board from the penalty spot as sophomore Shaniyah Myers (North Babylon, NY) put it away in the 29th minute. She would double her total just seven minutes later in the 36th minute, speeding past the backline and beating the keeper.

  • Freshman Lizzetta Myers (Sterling, NY) then scored from just inside the box in the 40th minute, with her shot forcing the keeper into the goal. She would also add to her tally with a great goal just four minutes later, putting away a beautiful run set up by Kaitlyn Hines' (Staten Island, NY) assist.

  • Freshman goalkeeper Abigail Allen (Orange Park, FL) kept a clean sheet in the first half with two saves before being subbed out.

  • Both Myers, Shaniyah and Lizzetta (no relation), have scored four goals in the past three games each.

UP NEXT FOR THE BRONCOS
