WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Senior Kayla Beers (East Meredith, NY) continues to display her high level of play this year, scoring her second goal in two matches to start off the night.

  • Delhi poured in two more before halftime, thanks to the freshman trio of Ava Battista (Scarsdale, NY), Lizzetta Myers (Sterling, NY) and Kaitlyn Hines (Staten Island, NY). Battista put away a penalty kick in the 30th minute before Myers added on in the 36th for both of their second Delhi career goals. The assist by Hines to Myers would mark her first ever assist in the green and gold.

  • It didn't take long for the Broncos to find the back of the net in the second half, with sophomore Shaniyah Myers (North Babylon, NY) slotting away an unassisted goal in the 55th minute. She ended with 11 total shots as Delhi finished with a grand total of 45 shots.

  • Freshman Jacey Nieckarz (Buskirk, NY) continued the celebrations with her very first Delhi goal later in the second half, before they ended it with another goal, this time from Dayanara Garcia (Chester, NY), assisted by Kailey Leach (Latham, NY).

  • Freshman goalkeeper Vanessa Sanchez (Jurupa Valley, CA) saved all three shots that came her way, earning both her and the team's first clean sheet.

    UP NEXT FOR THE BRONCOS
