Broncos Run to Fourth at UAlbany, Amenta Leads Team in 13th

ALBANY, N.Y. (October 15, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi men's cross country team reached the finish line of their regular season Friday at the UAlbany 8K Muncey Invitational, placing fourth in the field that comprised of NCAA Division I, II, and III competition. John Amenta led the squad with a 13th-place finish time of 26:34.0.

Seth Bywater took 20th in a time of 27:02.1, while Aidan Cutting grabbed 27th at 27:33.3. Aidar Matthews rang in at 36th place with a pace of 28:12.3 and Lewis Race 43rd in 28:38.4 to complete the team scoring. Lorenzo Castro ran 47th with a mark of 29:21.1, Caleb Jeralds 56th at 29:39.5, Gavin Fetterman 64th at 30:51.8 and Allen Lawton 68th at 32:25.0. 

The Broncos and coaches Zach Brown and Ben Finnigan have two weeks to prepare for the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships at Thomas College in Maine. Bywater and Cutting will make a return trip after helping Delhi win the league title at the last cross country championships back in 2019.
