Men's Runners Take Third at Vassar Ron Stonitsch Invitational

Vassar College (September 11, 2021) The Broncos men's cross countrt team had a strong showing at this year's Vassar College Ron Stonitsch 6K Invitational. The men brought home the third place trophy, in a very strong field. Only Vassar and RPI beat the Broncos out of a field of seven teams. Seth Bywater (19:33.0) led the men's team with his impressive fifth-place performance, with John Amenta in 17th (20:00.6) and Aidan Cutting (20:14.9) for 19th following closely behind. The top five was rounded out by Lewis Race (20:51.2) and Mathew Sabolenko (21:45.6) with their 23rd and 28th place finishes, respectively.

"I thought it was great to see more competition today and see how well Seth did. Some learning and growing pains for some men and women," said head coach Zach Brown.

"Was really excited with Bywater's performance today and the rest of the team is looking like they are in great form as we continue with the season" said coach Ben Finnigan.

Next up for the men is SUNY Oneonta Airfield Invite Saturday, Sept. 18th
