It didn't take long for a school record to go down.  In her first collegiate meet, freshman Cheyenne Weaver won the women's shot put with a huge mark of 11.63m (38' 2").  This mark added 19 inches to the previous record set in 2000 by Sara Kelly.  The throw was nine inches better than the second place finisher and over two feet better than the athelte in third.

The women also got great performances from Madeeah Oranchak who won the 200 meters (26.98) and the long jump (5.3m/17'4.75"). For the men the leaders were senior Keimon Barrow and sophomore Doug Williams. Barrow won the men's high jump setting a new facility record with his clearance of 2.13 meters (6' 11.75") and created some excitement with an attempt at 2.15 meters (7' 0.5").  On his third attempt at 2.15 meters, last years qualifying standard for the USA Indoor Championships, Barrow landed in the matt with the bar wobbling and then slowly falling off the standards.  He then went on to win the triple jump with a mark of 14.61m (47' 11.75").  Williams added two wins of his own taking the men's 300 meters in a time of 36.08 and then dominating the long jump and leading a Delhi 1-2-3 sweep of that event witha  mark of 6.75m (22' 1.75").  He was followed by senior Brian McLeod (6.3m/20'8") and freshman Troy Dickson (6.17m/20'3").
