John transferred to Delhi from SUNY Broome, where he earned a 2014 Cross Country All-American honor under the Guidance of Tom Carter who helped him improve dramatically from his high school days. Since arriving at Delhi, he has continued his growth. In the fall of 2015, he ran the third fastest 8-kilometer race in SUNY Delhi history when he ran 25:33.2 at Geneseo. In the spring of 2016 he posted a very impressive 10,000 meter performance to place second at the Monmouth University Invitational. He has now come within two seconds of the school record in the 5,000 meters twice this winter.
