Delhi, N.Y. - Jordan Brannan, who in the spring of 2024 served as the track assistant coach, has been named head swimming and diving, assistant cross country, and track coach.

Coach Brannan previously served as an assistant this past spring outdoor track season, said Bob Backus, Athletics Director. ‘This coaching position is a unique opportunity to blend the needs of the swimming and diving program and the coaching of cross country and track distance runners. Welcome, Coach Brannan.”

In Brannan’s initial stint as assistant coach for the Broncos, he worked primarily with the distance runners. In his first season, he assisted head coach Zack Brown in winning the men's 2024 NAC championships, which included 1st place finishes from John Amenta in the 5000 and 10000, and All-Conference performances by Sam Lees (800m), Mary Bryant (800m), John Amenta (1500m), and Marissa Lombardi (10,000m).
As an athlete, Brannan found success in his 5 years with Iona College’s nationally ranked Division 1 cross-country program. With the Gaels, Brannan won the 2019 indoor IC4A 5000 title as well as two MAAC individual conference championship titles. Brannan competed at the 2018 and 2019 NCAA D1 cross country championships as well as the 2019 NCAA East Regional championships. Brannan holds personal bests of 14:03 (5k), 8:08 (3k), 29:43 (10k), and 3:50 (1500).
As a prep, Brannan trained under Armory Hall of Fame Coach Jim Schlentz at Colts Neck High, where he achieved two NJ all-state titles and two all-American marks.
