Men's Golf take Fourth at Oswego State Fall Invitational over the Weekend

Delhi - The Men traveled to Oswego and battled some tough weather over the two-day tournament but ended up placing fourth out of 12 teams. The Broncos ended the tournament second overall in total pars and birdies with 89 pars and 16 birdies. While four of five Broncos adjusted after the first 18 and improved their score on the second day.

"The conditions were difficult with wind and rain today, especially with the tricky and fast greens at Oswego Country Club. Our players did a nice job of playing through the elements, said head coach Dave Arehart, "Tom had another solid showing and the entire team battled adversity all the way to the end."

Thomas Christofferson led the way again for the Bronco coming in 7th place after shooting a 76 (+5) the first day and 74 (+3) on the second. He ended the tournament with 19 pars and six birdies after battling some tricky greens and tough weather. Christofferson finished both days with a birdie on hole 18, which propelled him to lead the tournament in the average score on par 3s, shooting an average of 2.88. 

He was followed by John Williamson who was just eight strokes behind with a score of 80 (+9) on the first day and 78 (+7) on the second. He placed 15th overall with 19 pars and 3 birdies over the two days. Including 10 total pars and two birdies on the second day to finish strong through the rain. 

The Broncos now turn to the Lou Jarvis Memorial at Jay Peak Resort Golf Course on October 1st for a one-day Invitational.
