DELHI, N.Y. (May 25, 2021) - We take you to the track for this week's Broncos of the Week! SUNY Delhi took on the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Championships last week at St. John Fisher College, winning three events, including two new records. These honors belong to freshmen runners Naquille Harris and Josh Jeffes.

Naquille Harris (Bronx, NY / Cardinal Hayes) set new school, AARTFC, and St. John Fisher stadium records to win both the 100 and 200 meters. After capturing the fastest time in the 100 preliminaries at 10.65, Harris broke out to win the following day's finals with a mark of 10.49, beating out the previous school record of 10.55 set by Marvin Elmore at NJCAA Nationals in 2002. Roughly an hour-and-a-half later, Harris took gold in the 200 meters with a 21.10 time, again beating out a 19-year-old school record set by Elmore of 21.50 from 2002 NJCAA's.

Josh Jeffes (Scotia, NY / Scotia-Glenville) took down the 400 meters with a career-best time of 49.51, winning the event by .01 seconds. He earned the best time in the second heat, beating out his closest competition in the heat by .09 seconds and overtaking the first heat's top time of 49.52. Jeffes was named NAC Co-Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week during the regular season, as well as earning an AARTFC qualifying time in the 800 meters when he ran 1:56.90 in the team's regular season finale.
