DELHI, N.Y. (December 15, 2020) – While this fall semester was anything but ordinary, our student-athletes have shown outstanding character, resilience, and leadership during their practice seasons. SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to celebrate our Broncos of the Week each Tuesday by recognizing our talented and committed students, who despite the absence of competition demonstrated superb qualities on behalf of their team, the college, and their program of study.

Chloe Elsenbeck, Volleyball (New Hartford, NY / New Hartford)

From Head Coach Beau Bracchy:

"Chloe is a sophomore who is coming off an ACL injury and reconstruction which she suffered about two thirds of the way through her freshman season. It is evident that she is on a mission to regain her pre-injury form, while trying to capture the role as our number one outside hitter! Chloe pushed herself during the entire Fall 2020 practice season and was arguably our hardest working player at each practice. She has the ability to do "all" the touches, and pairing that with her high volleyball IQ makes her a great asset and irreplaceable part of the team! Hoping she continues to push herself through her rehab in preparation for the Spring 2021 season."

Dan Micheletti, Men's Soccer (Islip, NY / Islip)

From Head Coach Brian Mitko:

"Dan is a first year player who has raised the level of the team both on and off the field. Besides getting multiple positive starfish accolades from his professors, Dan came in fit and ready to participate this fall. No matter the day, time, or weather, Dan came ready to play at his highest level every time. With regular team training and individual training, he always wanted more and wanted to get better. He concluded the fall practice season winning our team competition with the most points in our final practice. He helped raised the standard of training and has helped everyone improve."
