The SUNY Delhi cross country teams were on the road again this weekend competing in the Airfield Invitational hosted by SUNY Oneonta.  For the second week in a row, the men's team placed second in the field behind host school Oneonta and in front of Stevens Institute of Technology and Hartwick College.  The women placed 3rd in the four team field behind Stevens and Oneonta and just ahead of Hartwick.

The men were lead once again by sophomore Kobie Lane who placed third overall with a very fast 6-kilometer time of 19:05.5.  The other scoring runners for the Broncos were senior John Hillenbrand (6th, 19:18.3) freshman Jon Messler (10th, 19:29.6) sophomore Nicholas Arnecke (15th, 19:53.9) and freshman Connor Oakman (19th, 20:09.8). Other runners for Delhi were sophomore Andrew Davis (20th, 20:11.4), freshman Lucas Reilly (29th, 20:36.1), freshman Kevin Malen (34th, 20:52.3), junior Mathew Robinson (36th, 21:08.8), freshman Ted Oster (48th, 23:02.1) and freshman Joe LaRegina (52nd, 23:43.3)

For the women, the team was once again led up front by sophomore Isamarie Ramos who finished in 21st palce with a time of 18:55.0 for the 4500 meter course.  Junior Kelsey Esselman (30th, 19:31.9), sophomore Elise McIntyre (37th, 20:31.0) and sophomore Rainey Cerqua (38th, 20:40.6) followed.  The fifth runner was freshman Ashley Magnifico who was running in her first ever cross country race and placed 43rd with a time of 21:30.8.  She was followed closely by another first time runner, freshman Morgan Hulbert, who placed 48th in 23:01.8.  Other runners for the Broncos were sophomore Xochilt Cortez (49th, 23:01.8) and freshman Elizabeth Brown (51st, 28:42.5).

The team will now have a weekend off of racing before returning to action on October 1st at the RPI Invitational held at Saratoga State Park.
