Laurie Owen is in her second season as the women's soccer assistant coach. Prior to Delhi she was a varsity coach at Roxbury Central School. Owen's was a founding member and Vice President of DC United, a local soccer club that brought travel soccer into Delaware County allowing soccer accessible for many local athletes. 

 
Coach Owen has coached both local soccer and travel soccer for boys and girls from U10 to U19, along with several varsity tournament and league teams. She led her youth team to an undefeated 5 season run and her travel teams to multiple tournament and league titles over the years. 
 
A graduate of Margaretville Central school, at which she played 6 seasons of varsity soccer. Owen's holds a Master of Social Work degree from Fordham University and Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati. While coaching is her favorite job, she also works as the Director of Strategic Interventions at the National Network for Safe Communities where she oversees and implements evidence-based strategies to reduce gun violence in cities around the country.
