Broncos Dominate Berkeley

SUNY Delhi earned back to back wins this weekend, defeating Berkeley Sunday afternoon at home 79-56. For the second day in a row, Kaitlin Gorton's offensive contribution lead the way for the Broncos, finishing with a game high 25 points. Again, the Broncos took a commanding lead in the first period, dominating Berkeley 21-7, with Gorton putting away 13 points. This time, SUNY Delhi would not permit the opposition from reentering the game on the scoreboard. The Broncos held Berkeley to single digit periods the first half, entering halftime with a 43-16 lead. The Broncos also dominated on the boards, pulling down 28 offensive rebounds and 56 total rebounds. SUNY Delhi capitalized on Berkeley's mistakes, scoring 30 points off of turnovers and 26 second chance points. Additionally, the Broncos' deep bench contributed 27 points. Sunday's win was a total team effort, with every member of the Broncos team contributing on the scoreboard.
