Salley's 36-point Performance Helps the Broncos Stampede to First Victory

Samiaya Salley carried the Broncos on her back in Sunday's win against Central Penn College. Salley put up a season high 36 points for SUNY Delhi, shooting 66.7% from the floor. Cayla Heffern and Kaitlin Gorton also contributed to the offensive push for the Broncos, putting away 17 and 14 points, respectively. Diana Echols controlled the boards for the Broncos, pulling down 13 rebounds.

From the start, SUNY Delhi came out firing and took the lead in the first period 17 to 11. SUNY Delhi maintained their lead throughout the entirety of the game, not once falling behind the Knights. Their explosive fourth period, putting away 24 of their 79 points, ensured that the Broncos would finish on top.  SUNY Delhi took their first win of the season in a dominating performance against Central Penn, 79 to 57.
