Delhi Softball Opens NAC Play, Falls in Five Innings

SUNY Delhi softball began their North Atlantic Conference play with a game against SUNY Poly.

DELHI (0) vs POLY (11) - 5 innings:

How it Happened:

The game would stay close through the first three innings. After a scoreless first inning, SUNY Poly would use lead off, extra base hits in the second and third innings to set the tone for the rest of the game.

The game would stand at 2-0 in favor of the visiting Wildcats going into the 4th inning. SUNY Poly could add two more runs to their tally but Delhi couldn't cut into the lead.

It was the big top of the fifth that opened the game up for SUNY Poly; using four hits and three walks to make it 11-0; the final score.


Notes:

Carolina Watson (walk) and Sidney Cooper (reached on error) would be the only baserunners for the Broncos.

Angelina Dickel (1-5) took the circle first before being relieved by Danielle Seymour.

SUNY Poly's Trinity Critelli would collect a no-hitter.


What's Next:

SUNY Delhi (2-9, 0-1) and SUNY Poly (8-2, 1-0) square off in a doubleheader tomorrow (3/30). Games will begin at 12PM and 2PM.
