Shafer led the Broncos in their first conference match on Friday versus VTSU-Johnson winning #1 singles in a hard fought 7-6 tie breaker and 6-4. She also partnered with Ben Andersen to win #1 doubles 8-6. On Saturday against VTSU-Lyndon, Shafer picked up the win in the fifth singles match with a 6-0, 6-2 victory taking down the Hornets. These two wins for the Broncos pushes them to a 2-2 record, while being 2-0 in conference play.

In two crucial conference games, our Sophomore goalkeeper played his role exceptionally well throughout the week collecting seven groundballs with 21 saves. He currently ranks 2nd in the NAC for Saves Percentage with .583%, with 91 saves on 65 goal attempts in Conference play. Triolo has been a key anchor point in the Broncos hot 8-3 start.
