Robin Turner '65

Robin Turner was a three-sport star athlete for Delhi from 1963 to 1965, playing soccer, basketball and baseball. He was a six-time letter winner, and captain of all three teams during his senior year. Robin played on Delhi's first men's soccer team, helping lead the "Booters" to a perfect 4-0 record in 1963, followed by a third-place finish at the Region 3 Championship in 1964. On the basketball court, Robin helped Delhi reach the Region 3 championship game his freshman year. Graduating with an Associate's in Hospitality in 1965, Robin went on to finish his Bachelor's at Denver University. He returned to Delhi as a teacher in the school of Hospitality, a position that he held for 32 years. His proudest accomplishment was taking part in developing the curriculum and logistics to bring the Hospitality program to a four-year Bachelor's degree level. Robin was a notable fixture during the college's 20-year run hosting the NJCAA Men's Basketball National Tournament, aiding in the hospitality of the participating teams and tournament workers and volunteers.
