Barrett Receives Second NAC Rookie of the Week

WATERVILLE, Me. (September 25, 2018) – Just four weeks into the season, men's golfer Zach Barrett (West Winfield, NY / Mt. Markham) received his second Rookie of the Week award from the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The sophomore and first-year member of the Broncos earned the honor after turning in a 158 two-day showing for 13th place at this weekend's Utica Invitational.

Taking place at the par-71, 6,767-yard Yahnundasis Golf Club, Barrett overcame an 81 score on day one to improve by four strokes on Sunday, jumping up 11 spots on the leaderboard. The West Winfield, NY native helped the Delhi "B" team finish third with a 630 total, just 12 strokes behind first-place Utica. In addition, the Broncos "A" team finished second, giving head coach Dave Arehart's team two of the top three team placements of the eight competing schools.

Barrett and the Broncos return to the links next weekend at the two-day Oswego State Fall Invitational, starting Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
