Christy, Palmer Awarded NAC Fall All-Academics

DELHI, N.Y. (January 17, 2019) – The North Atlantic (NAC) announced its Fall All-Academic Team, where the SUNY Delhi men's golf team featured the college's two first-ever recipients of the conference's academic honors. The list included sophomores Daniel Christy (Canton, NY / Canton Central) and Brandon Palmer (Norfolk, NY / Norwood-Norfolk), as both earned GPAs of 3.50 or greater in the Business and Professional Golf Management programs. Christy holds a 3.96 GPA, while Palmer has a 3.76 GPA.

The Broncos recently completed a successful first fall season in NCAA Division III and members of the NAC. The team finished second at both the USCAA National Championships and the NAC Championships. Christy won the NAC individual championship, besting the 54-player field with a 148 two-day total, while earning Second Team All-American honors at the USCAA Championships with a two-day total of 146. Palmer received extraordinary praise from both leagues this fall for his contributions as a student-athlete. He was named the USCAA Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Year, and recognized to the NAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
