POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (February 3, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi swimming and diving teams competed Saturday at the Vassar College Spring Invitational. The men finished with 90 points to place fifth, while Samantha Bowker competed solely for the women.  

SeJean Gibbs gave Delhi some exposure on the leaderboard, placing second in the three-meter dives with 178.55 points, third in the one-meter dives with 188.20 points and fifth in the 50-yard backstroke at 34.20. Marc Piccott grabbed fifth in the 100-yard IM with a time of 1:14.32, while Jacob Shoemaker timed in sixth in the 50-yard backstroke at 39.80. The foursome of Gibbs, Piccott, Shoemaker and Ryan Pappalau finished sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.89.

Bowker's highest placement came in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing 13th with a mark of 1:21.48. She also placed 15th in the 50-yard freestyle at 32.11 and 15th in the 100-yard IM at 1:26.99.

SUNY Delhi concludes its regular season at next weekend's NYU Invitational.
