COBLESKILL, N.Y. (November 11, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi women's and men's swimming and diving teams returned to the pool at SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday. The women faced the Fighting Tigers and William Smith in a tri-match, while the men squared off solely against Cobleskill. The lady Broncos had 60 points to Cobleskill's 93 and 28 to William Smith's 155. The men had 55 points to the Fighting Tigers' 117.
The men had three victories on the day, with SeJean Gibbs winning the one-meter diving with 195 points and Marc Piccott placing first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:20.77. Gibbs and Piccott teamed with Malik Williams and Ryan Pappalau to take the opening contest, the 200-yard medley relay, with a mark of 2:07.18
Julia Witt gave the women its sole win on the day in the 1000-yard freestyle with a mark of 13:33.77. She also placed second in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 6:24.13. The foursome of Witt, Samantha Bowker, Lacey Rusaw and Madison Osuna took third in the 200-yard medley relay at 2:36.32.
