CAZENOVIA, N.Y. (November 5, 2017) – The SUNY Delhi men's and women's swimming and diving teams traveled to Cazenovia on Saturday for a tri-match with the Wildcats and Herkimer. The men picked up their first win of the year, logging 222 points, eight points ahead of second-place Cazenovia, while third-place Herkimer had 184 points. The women placed third with 100 points. The Caz women won with 623 points, while the Herkimer ladies tallied 133 points.

The men carried out four victories on the day, with three from SeJean Gibbs and the other from Ryan Pappalau. Gibbs placed first in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:19.64 and took both one-meter diving events. He posted 173.25 points in the first and 225.55 points in the second. Pappalau won the 1000-yard freestyle with a mark of 14:59.53.

Julia Witt, in her first swimming competition of the season after a successful cross country campaign in the fall, led the Broncos by posting a second-place finish in the mixed 1000-yard freestyle, clocking in at 13:37.63. She, along with Lacey Rusaw, Samantha Bowker and Mikayla Luby, took third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:57.38.
